Hello, web traveler, and welcome to my home page. if you are interested in the Arctic, canoeing or whitewater river running, biology or ecology, vegetation or wildlife... you might be interested in some of my links. I'm a research biologist studying the patterns and controls of biodiversity amond remote arctic rivers. I am working on the Northern Ecosystem Analysis and Mapping Lab at the Institute of Arctic Biology, University of Alaska at Fairbanks where I am working on the Circumpolar Arctic Vegetation Mapping Project (CAVM). I am also interested in the power of experiential education. I have been teaching field biology courses for the last ten years. I currently teach for the Itasca Field Biology Program at the University of Minnesota. I have some non-academic links to music, poetry and stories, and handmade guitars. Surf on.
