In the afternoon each student will make a collection of plants from the area around camp. The collections will include mosses, lichens, ferns, woody flowering plants, herbaceous flowering plants and graminoid flowering plants. We will meet in the afternoon/evening so that everyone can present the plants they have collected and identified. We carry a number of books in the library that will aid in the identification of the plants. We will also press plants in the method employed by herbaria found at universities or botanical gardens.
