  • Research and teaching focus on biological systems with an emphasis on the role of snow in the distribution of vegetation in tundra ecosystems, plant community ecology, ecosystem ecology, plant evolution, field teaching, and arctic and alpine ecosystems.

  • Assistant Instructor, Institute for Advanced Field Education 1998-1999 Duties include assisting in the teaching, design, and logistics of field classes taught in remote areas of the Canadian Arctic. Future duties will include planning field classes to Baja, Mexico.
